Ok, hands up, that was clickbait. CrossFit is hard but we make it just hard ENOUGH for you.
We know there is a lot of misinformation out there about CrossFit, ‘You need to be super fit’, ‘No Pain, No Gain’ etc but that isn’t how we roll in CrossFit Anam.
Yes, often your workouts will be hard and sometimes they should be VERY hard. Occasionally they may even look impossible until you show up and realise that your version of the workout is the ideal intensity for you.
But sometimes they should also feel easy and you should feel ready for more.
That’s not by accident. We believe every workout should stimulate an adaptation and we reflect this within our balanced programming. Many of the physical benefits we seek will be achieved with sub maximal efforts repeated regularly over time. We don’t believe every workout should be murder - that will eventually lead to physical and mental burnout and perhaps even injury.
CrossFit is actually quite simple. You know what time to show up to class and you are told exactly what to do to get the maximum benefit for your time. You also push a lot harder than you would on your own because you are working out with a group of like minded people who are all good craic…..well most of them....!!
The hardest part is showing up. We will take care of the rest.
