Our Youth Fitness Program focuses on both physiology and psychology.
We create a positive, fun exercise experience where children enjoy working out, learning new skills and getting fitter and stronger. After all, a key objective of our program is to create positive exercise habits that will last a lifetime. Children who enjoy exercise are more likely to stay active their entire lives and thus will benefit from stronger muscles and bones, have a lower risk of being overweight and will have a more positive outlook on life. Plus fit kids sleep better and what parent doesn’t want that??

The common misconception with CrossFit is that it is all incredibly fit people slamming huge, huge weights around before walking around the floor on their hands.
That is not the case in CFA. Coaching is at the forefront of our vision for our clients. We help each member individually with a suitable loading/movement pattern in each class to help them become as fit as they possibly can, while having as much fun as possible in the process! Maureen just loves the assault bike, saying it gets more and more enjoyable every session. Sure who could argue with that? ‘We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing’

No-one sticks to an exercise program they don't enjoy or where they dread the thought of going to class. Our members are with us because they enjoy training in our gym. Now, we aren't naive enough to believe that they enjoy every single repetition of every single workout. That's the stuff of fairy tales, but they do enjoy the process of improving their fitness, learning new skills, getting stronger and fitter and having a bit of craic in each class. CrossFit isn't boring. SWEAT45 isn't boring. Fitness shouldn't be boring. We get to see happy, smiling faces every day in our gym. It’s one of the many perks of the job. Even the Monday 6am class eventually break out their smiles!
Scientists will say it's the release of endorphins and the production of neurotransmitters like serotonin and norepinephrine which basically causes your brain to reinforce feelings of positivity and happiness when you exercise. But of course that doesn't paint the whole picture as it doesn't give appropriate credit to the social benefits of exercising with other like minded people. The great thing is that our gym is full of normal people having fun with their fitness. So if you can smile, you can do CrossFit. WHAT"S THE HARDEST PART OF GETTING FIT?
Getting started. In fact, doing a workout is often much easier than making the initial commitment to go to the gym in the first place. Have you ever procrastinated about going to the gym only to end up talking yourself out of it? Conversely, have you ever not felt like working out, only to go to class and really enjoy it? Similar to starting anything, once you start an exercise program, good things happen and they usually happen very quickly. We’ve been helping people start fitness programs for almost 7 years, and we’ve seen hundreds of people make significant improvements in a short time. We recommend giving our programs at least 24 hours and we don’t mean a day. We mean 24 sessions. And we are confident that we can help you make positive, permanent changes to your health & fitness in those 24 hours. And have fun doing it. In fact, literally every member of our gym has a story and can tell you exactly how their fitness & health improved after starting with us. Their stories are all backed by evidence, numbers and details. Many stories begin with ‘I didn’t think I was fit enough’ or ‘I wasn’t sure if CrossFit was for me’ but they all have similar endings with clients getting leaner, stronger and fitter. We have a unique way of introducing people to our fitness programs and it's not by throwing you head first into a class - it starts with a conversation. When you book a consultation with us, we’ll ask you about your goals, your training history and your motivation for exercising. Then we’ll recommend a plan. That plan could be Personal Training or group classes like CrossFit or SWEAT45 or it could be one of our Nutrition programs. Or even a combination of all 3. We've learned that when people talk to us and learn more about our gym, our programs and our staff then the decision isn’t so hard. People who have the information they need can make good decisions.
